Adoption Spotlight
Penny is a 2 year old Black and White "Tuxedo" female. She once had a loving home with an elderly woman, who made Penny her life. Penny was spoiled, loved and simply adored. Then one day everything changed. Penny was left at our doorstep, with out a clue what happened. She is a very adoring and fun girl, who enjoys being the light of your life. She gets along with other cats, and is very outgoing. She is spayed, tested, treated, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $55.
Current Events
Purrfect Parade
For the Love of Cats sent some purrs towards Avow Hospice this year, participating in the 17th Annual Goodland Boat Parade with some of our 'kitties' dancing on the water! There were 14 boats total and prizes for each, we came in 9th as our kitties danced to music from the Broadway play 'Cats'. Even though water is not a favorite of cats, our 'kitties' braved the water and wind to have some laughs and a chance to show off some purrfect dance moves.
Birthday Party Helps Kitties!

Marco Islander Jessica McGuffie turned 10 years old a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful idea. She told her friends and family she didn't want any gifts this year, she just wanted donations for the shelter! All the kitties were so happy to get hugs and kisses from a beautiful young girl who brought toys, supplies and food too!
A big thank "mew" to Jessica McGuffie from all the rescued kitties at For the Love of Cats.

See you at the Marco Island Farmers Market!
Starting November 7, 2012
Stop by to see us and visit with the kitties at the Farmers Market in Veteran's Park on Marco Island starting Wednesday, November 7th. We will have a tent and kittens there, weather permitting, every Wednesday through December. After the first of the year, there are more paid vendors so we will be there every other Wednesday through March and then every Wednesday in April. The last Farmer's Market in the last Wednesday of April 2013 for the season. We will have kitten ambassadors to help show off our selection of car magnets, teeshirts, notecards and calendars (NEW this year). We love to hear new cat tales and have an opportunity to meet new people and promote our programs for the community. See you there!
