-City run facility that operates under the sanitation department. Any animal may be surrendered there. They have a 95% kill rate. Officers will trap reported stray animals that are subsequently killed.

 

Low Cost Spay Neuter:

Friends of Gummi has a $60 certificate available for cats that is honored at a select list of veterinarians in Collier County which includes spay/neuter, physical, fecal and FIV/FeLV blood tests. For dogs there is an $85 certificate that includes physical, sterilization and fecal test.

Volunteer Services for Animals (VSA 239-597-4930) has a $30 certificate for cats that is honored at a select list of veterinarians in Collier County which includes just the sterilization surgery. This certificate is available at Domestic Animal Services on Davis Rd. in Naples from 10:30 am to Noon every Saturday or from the "Cat Lady" at Petsmart every Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Humane Society offers a low/no cost spay/neuter program every Sunday at their location. Call 239-498-3493.

Microchip Information:

-Microchipping increases your pets chance of being returned

-Microchip your pet when you sterilize them

-Any Veterinarian can microchip your pet

-You must register the microchip and remember to change it when you move.
